United Kingdom

A new research report concerning key technology concerns for UK businesses has highlighted the levels of disruption to businesses caused by systems failures.

Specialist UK law firm, Technology Law Alliance, surveyed 203 business leaders from 131 SMEs and 72 large corporates about their main technology concerns.

The findings revealed that 60 per cent of the larger corporates had had projects delayed due to systems issues over the last year.

Smaller businesses, however, had more practical concerns, with 65 per cent of them having actually lost business as a result of technology failures over the last year.

Technology Law Alliance’s co-founder and director, Jagvinder Kang, said of the report, “As the research results show, data protection concerns, business continuity and security safeguards have become a more prominent issue in technology transactions … It is therefore important that they are properly addressed by businesses of all sizes".
